Community Speed Watch 2009 – 2010 Evaluation
Posted by na.admin in Community Speed WatchThe Community Speed Watch project is evaluated at the end of each year (April – March) in order to allow the partnership to monitor the scheme and receive feedback from the co-ordinators, volunteers and residents of participating parishes. This process of reporting back is beneficial to the partnership as it enables the identification of any concerns, potential problems and evident successes in the project, and, therefore, highlights any changes that should be made for future years.
In previous years, slightly lengthy evaluation forms have been sent out to the co-ordinators of all participating parishes for completion and return. This year, we decided to test an online survey approach with a simple form made up of just 10 questions. Whilst we also provided hard copies for anyone without internet access, we hoped that this method will speed up the whole reporting process and make it easier (and less time consuming) for our valued co-ordinators.
Following collection and analysis of the results from these questionnaires, the full Evaluation Report 2009 – 10 has been produced. This report aims to:
- Analyse the findings taken from the evaluation questionnaires
- Draw conclusions based on the data and comments received
- Evaluate the recommendations made last year to determine whether or not they were achieved
- Make new recommendations for the year ahead in order to continue, and build upon, the success of the Community Speed Watch project.
