LEARN MORE ABOUT NORTHAMPTONSHIRE BUTTERFLIES AT A FLUTTERLY BRILLIANT FREE ONLINE WORKSHOP

Know your Skipper from your Hairstreak? Your Emperor from your Admiral? Join other nature enthusiasts at a free online butterfly workshop on August 8 at 5.30pm – and learn how to help your local butterflies.

The online Butterfly Conservation session – part of Northamptonshire ACRE's Grow Green Together series – will provide an insight into the county's beautiful butterflies and how you can help populations increase.

Local resident David James – who is the Northamptonshire Butterfly Recorder for charity Butterfly Conservation – will inspire you and your community to start your own green project and help endangered pollinators such as butterflies and bees.

David said: "Join me for a brief introduction into the fascinating world of Northamptonshire’s butterflies. We will talk about the commoner species as well as the rarer ones – and how we can encourage them into our gardens and green spaces. I will also explain how to send in valuable butterfly records and why doing so is important."

The free 'Butterfly Conservation' workshop runs from 5.30pm-6pm on Monday August 8. To register and find out more information, go to: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/grow-green-together-butterfly-conservation-tickets-384600268757.
